Griffin Sorour (Interview Transcript):
"I want everyone out there to know that we pride ourselves on our approachability and our willingness to undertake those tasks that perhaps other providers have shied away from. I'm somebody that believes in getting the whole workforce striving for excellence, leading from example, from a point of authority.
I want everyone to feel like they're a valued member of the team, and that their input is valuable to us. That's the best way, I think, to get people really interested in taking on those challenges and seeing them as opportunities. We've got a very diverse skilled workforce here. People have been in the business for many, many years. And I'm interested in looking to further develop those skill sets, investing in our people.
Myself, I'm a results-driven individual. I used to work for a large provider in the fast-moving consumer goods industry. I started from the ground up in various different roles along the way. The last major thing I was doing was project engineering for a multimillion-dollar installation that included working on design specifications and batch acceptance tests, I was on the other side of this project as the customer, so it was developing that understanding of what's expected, what are we get and how and if we can make work.
So what I'm most excited about in this role here at Rowlands is exceeding expectations and making sure that we've got the right metrics in place to stay on top, stay competitive and keep putting out quality that I think people are used to from us. It's what's developed us as being the go-to provider for our services."
